About the Company

Our client, a leading national healthcare organisation, is seeking an experienced Payroll Team Leader to join their established payroll function. This is a great opportunity for an experienced payroll skilled who enjoys leading people and working within a complex, high-volume environment.
n
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you'll be responsible for leading a team of five and overseeing payroll operations across a large and diverse workforce. You'll provide guidance and support on complex payroll matters while ensuring the team consistently delivers accurate, timely and compliant payroll.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead, coach and support a team of five payroll professionals.
n
Oversee high-volume end-to-end payroll across a large and complex workforce.
n
Provide technical guidance and support on complex payroll queries and issues.
n
Ensure payroll is processed accurately and in line with legislation, Awards and EBAs.
n
Review payroll results, reconciliations and exception reporting.
n




Manage escalated payroll queries and work with stakeholders to resolve issues.
n
Monitor payroll processes, deadlines and controls to ensure consistent delivery.
n
Identify and implement opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiency.
n

Skills and Experience
n
n
Previous experience in a Payroll Team Leader or senior payroll leadership role.
n
Strong end-to-end payroll experience within a medium to large organisation.
n
Experience leading, mentoring or developing a payroll team.
n
Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, Awards, EBAs and superannuation.
n
Experience working within a high-volume and complex payroll environment.
n
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage escalated payroll matters.
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
Strong attention to detail with a focus on payroll accuracy and compliance.
n
Experience with UKG,SAP/Chris21 is highly desirable.
n
