Our client is seeking a motivated and reliable Painting & Decorating Apprentice to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‐on experience while completing a nationally recognised qualification in Painting and Decorating.
n
As an apprentice, you will be employed by our client and receive structured workplace training and support while completing your formal training through Building Industry Training.
n
About the Role
n
Working alongside experienced tradespeople, you will learn a range of painting and decorating skills, including:
n
n
Surface preparation, sanding, filling and patching
n
Applying paints, stains, varnishes and protective coatings
n
Interior and exterior painting projects
n
Colour matching and paint selection
n
Masking and protecting work areas
n
Secure use of painting tools and equipment
n
Workplace health and safety practices
n
Maintaining a clean and organised worksite
n
n
About You
n
To be successful,
you will:

Be genuinely interested in pursuing a career in Painting & Decorating
n
Have a strong work ethic and positive attitude
n
Be reliable, punctual and willing to learn
n
Have good communication skills
n
Be able to work as part of a team and independently when required
n
Hold a current White Card (mandatory)
n
Hold a current driver's licence and reliable transport (preferred but not essential)
n

Requirements

Current Construction White Card (essential)
n
Commitment to completing a Certificate III in Painting and Decorating
n
Ability to perform manual work and work at heights when required
n
Willingness to follow workplace health and safety procedures
n
n
To be eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have full working rights.
