The Opportunity:
n
Join our transport team as an MC Driver operating a regular long-haul run between Mount Gambier and Melbourne, with a pick-up load stop in Portland and preloaded quick hitch Truganina for return to mt gambier. This is a consistent, well-structured route covering approximately 900km return each day.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you'll be part of a business that values safety, reliability, and professional drivers, offering competitive trip-based pay plus additional incentives for load restraint tasks. Key Responsibilities:
n
Operate Multi-Combination (MC) vehicles on daily return trips between Mount Gambier and Melbourne
n
Complete a pick-up in Portland, ensuring safe and efficient loading
n




Perform load restraint duties in line with safety and compliance standards (with incentives available)
n
Conduct pre‐and post‐trip inspections to maintain fleet safety and reliability
n
Maintain accurate electronic work diaries and comply with fatigue management requirements
n
Follow all NHVR guidelines and road transport legislation
n
Communicate effectively with dispatch, logistics teams, and site personnel
n
Maintain a strong focus on safety, professionalism, and customer service
n
About You:
n
Current Australian MC licence
n
Proven experience operating MC vehicles, ideally on regional or long-haul routes
n
Strong understanding of load restraint and chain-of-responsibility requirements
n
Clean driving record and commitment to safe driving practices
n
Knowledge of NHVR fatigue management and work diary regulations
n
Physically capable of completing load restraint tasks safely
n
Comfortable with long driving hours and occasional overnight stays in the truck
n
Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently while staying connected with the team
