The Opportunity

Join a collaborative team of experienced consultants, registrars, resident medical officers and interns, supported by dedicated nursing, pharmacy and allied health teams.

The Department Provides Comprehensive Paediatric Services Including
n
n
General inpatient paediatric care
n
Specialist outpatient clinics
n
Emergency paediatric services
n
Regional outreach clinics
n
Neonatal services
n
Diabetes and chronic disease management
n
Developmental and community paediatric services
n
n
A key feature of the service is the Level 4 Special Care Nursery, providing advanced neonatal care and respiratory support for newborns.

Key Responsibilities You Will
n
n
Deliver high-quality paediatric care across inpatient, outpatient and emergency settings
n
Manage complex neonatal and paediatric presentations
n
Provide specialist support to regional and rural facilities throughout Central Queensland
n
Participate in outreach clinics and telehealth services
n
Supervise and mentor registrars, junior doctors and medical students
n




Lead quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives
n
Participate in the consultant on-call roster
n
Contribute to service development and innovation across the region
n

Requirements To Be Considered, Applicants Must Possess
n

Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Paediatrics and Child Health, or equivalent specialist qualification
n
Specialist Registration with AHPRA, or eligibility for registration
n
Broad experience across General Paediatrics and Neonatal Care
n
Commitment to high-quality regional healthcare delivery
n
Strong interest in teaching, mentoring and clinical leadership
n
n
