Thermal Double Glazing Pty Ltd specialises in the supply and installation of custom uPVC double-glazed windows and doors for residential properties. Our work includes replacement installations, renovations and new-build projects across Melbourne.

Due to continued demand for our services, we are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team on a full-time basis.
n
About the Role
n
The Carpenter will undertake carpentry, framing, preparation and installation work associated with double-glazed window and door systems.
n
The role involves preparing and modifying structural openings, installing window and door frames, completing associated timber work and ensuring installations are completed accurately and to the required building standards.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Read and interpret drawings, measurements and specifications to determine carpentry and installation requirements.
n
Measure, cut, prepare and modify timber and wall framing for double-glazed window and door installations.
n
Install, position, level and secure window and door frames in residential and commercial properties.
n
Repair and reinforce timber studs, headers and surrounding framing where required.
n
Fit timber reveals, architraves, trims and flashings around installed windows and doors.
n
Remove existing windows and prepare structural openings for replacement window and door systems.
n
Carry out associated finishing,



waterproofing and sealing work in accordance with building and WHS requirements.

Skills and Experience
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
Certificate III in Carpentry or an equivalent relevant trade qualification.
n
1 - 2 years of relevant experience working as a Carpenter.
n
Experience with window and door installation, residential construction or renovation work.
n
Experience with timber framing, structural preparation and finishing carpentry.
n
Ability to accurately measure, cut, fit and install building components.
n
Ability to read and interpret drawings, measurements and specifications.
n
Competency in the use of carpentry hand tools and power tools.
n
Valuable understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
n
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
Current White Card.
n
