Senior Education Developer/Designer (Executive Education) - School of Aviation

Join the School of Aviation for a focused fixed-term project to work with identified subject matter experts to design and develop a suite of executive education and professional learning offerings by the end of ****.
n
About the roles
n
A Senior Education Developer/Designer (Executive Education) plays a key role within the School of Aviation by providing leadership and strategic thinking in the development and implementation of innovative learning practices.
n
With the School of Aviation having identified a number of courses for development or review by the end of ****, these two new fixed-term roles have been created to design and develop executive education, professional learning programs, microcredentials and courses in collaboration with academic staff and industry stakeholders.
n
The roles will be responsible for applying contemporary learning design practices, educational technologies and learner engagement strategies to develop innovative and industry-relevant learning experiences that align with organisational and industry priorities.
n
Both positions report to the School Manager, work collaboratively with academic leaders, industry stakeholders and UNSW professional staff, and have no direct reports.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
Lead the design and development of executive education, professional learning programs, microcredentials, professional certificates and workforce capability initiatives aligned with organisational and industry requirements
n
Design and develop high quality online, blended and face to face learning experiences using evidence based adult learning, instructional design and learner engagement principles
n
Work collaboratively with academic staff and industry subject matter experts to translate complex technical and industry knowledge into engaging, accessible and effective learning experiences
n
Develop strong relationships with academic, industry and professional stakeholders through consultation, facilitation of design workshops and provision of expert learning design advice
n
Identify, evaluate and implement innovative learning technologies, digital tools and emerging educational practices that enhance learner engagement, accessibility and learning outcomes
n
Design and oversee the development of digital learning resources and educational assets that support executive education and qualified learning programs, ensuring accessibility, usability and learner-centred design
n
Drive the continuous improvement of executive education offerings through analysis of learner needs, industry capability requirements, market trends and stakeholder feedback
n
Contribute to the evaluation, quality assurance and continuous improvement of learning programs
n
Provide leadership and strategic advice regarding learning design, educational technologies, learner engagement strategies and professional education initiatives across the School and broader University
n

About you
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
Demonstrated experience in executive education, professional development or lifelong learning
n
Experience developing and implementing learning programs requiring integration of educational, technical or industry knowledge in a complex, specialised or highly regulated environment
n
Experience in market leading design principles and pedagogy
n
Ideally, an understanding of TEQSA principles
n
Knowledge of contemporary learning design methodologies, adult learning principles and approaches to online, blended and face to face learning for professional and executive education audiences
n
Excellent time management skills, written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced
n
Sound stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and liaise effectively with academic staff, industry partners and external stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes
n
Experience working with a range of computer systems and applications, including learning management systems (ideally Gooru Navigator), designing software (such as Articulate), educational technologies, multimedia development tools, AI-enabled learning technologies and learning analytics platforms to support learning design and learner engagement
n
A relevant tertiary qualification in Education, Instructional Design, Learning Technologies, Educational Psychology or a related discipline would be highly regarded
n
n
There are two fixed term roles available until December **** (both new roles) with no possibility of extension. The role is Monday to Friday in a hybrid work environment. This isn't a fully remote work - no sponsorship available for the role either.
n
We are looking for candidates who can start as soon as possible and work through to the University shutdown on 21 December ****.
