Working with key stakeholders for our water resource recovery (wastewater treatment) facilities, you will optimise asset performance, risk, cost and regulatory compliance while supporting customer, environmental and strategic objectives.
n

What you will be doing
n
n
Apply Performance, Cost, Risk (PCaR) approach to understand service capabilities.
n
Investigate, and identify potential system risks and engage stakeholders to mitigate the risks through balancing performance, cost and risk.
n
Review and update Consequence of Failure Guidelines & Assessments
n
Monitoring & prioritising system risks across Wastewater Treatment
n
Facilitation of System Interface Groups (SIG) to represent the System Plans, assessing changes in context (eg regulatory or licence change), configuration and/or risk that require collaboration across the value chain to meet customer outcomes
n
Support in development and implementation of the system plans
n
Ensure asset classes and systems are aligned to deliver required performance outcomes, customer expectations and service targets.
n
Using asset performance data, identify emerging risks, performance trends, and improvement opportunities, supporting asset reliability and operational outcomes.
n
Conduct asset management audits and reviews, including regulatory, licence and internal compliance activities, and track and close out audit findings and improvement actions.
n

About You
n
You will have qualifications in engineering, science or a related discipline, (or experience deemed equivalent). In addition to robust internal and external stakeholder management skills you will also have:
n
n
At least 5 years experience in asset management, ideally in the utilities or similar industry
n
Advanced written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills at all levels both internal and external to the organisations, with the ability to establish a high degree of credibility.
n
Experience across relevant products/asset classes and integrated water cycle management.
n
Advanced knowledge of Sydney Water's operating and regulatory environment.
n
Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to draw insights from data and identify trends and risks. Basic understanding of quality/cost/risk trade-offs with a lens on short-, medium- and long-term outcomes.
