Our client, a prestigious investment firm headquartered in Australia's CBD, is seeking a skilled analyst to enhance their risk and compliance operations.

Investment Operations Analyst
n
In this role, you'll play a crucial part in supporting the day-to-day functions of the investment team, ensuring trade settlements, portfolio reconciliations, and compliance monitoring are carried out smoothly. Success in this position requires strong analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a deep understanding of financial markets and investment processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Support
n
n
Manage end-to-end trade processes, ensuring accurate execution, settlement, and reporting.
n
Conduct daily cash and position reconciliations, identifying and addressing discrepancies.
n
Oversee corporate actions, dividends, and interest payments, ensuring correct handling.
n
n
Data & Reporting
n
n
Maintain precise records of portfolio transactions and holdings.
n
Prepare detailed investment and performance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
n
Assist in automating data flows and reporting to enhance efficiency.
n
n
Compliance & Risk Management
n
n
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal compliance policies.
n
Support risk management initiatives by identifying and escalating potential operational risks.
n
Monitor investment mandates and guidelines to maintain compliance.
n
n
Process Enhancement
n
n
Collaborate with internal teams to refine operational workflows and minimize inefficiencies.
n
Identify opportunities for streamlining manual processes and implementing solutions.
n
Participate in system testing and upgrades to optimize investment operations.
n




Act as a key liaison between internal teams and external partners on operational matters.
n
Work closely with portfolio managers, accountants, and IT specialists to ensure seamless operations.
n

Experience & Knowledge
n
n
Minimum three years of experience in a similar role within a fund management or administration setting.
n
Strong understanding of fund accounting, risk, and compliance.
n
Advanced proficiency in Excel.
n
In-depth knowledge of funds and performance management.
n
Ability to develop robust control frameworks.
n
Excellent teamwork, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
n
n
