Teacher - Automotive & Marine Trimming Technology

Casual Appointment.
n
Teaching $************* / non-teaching $***** - $***** p/h + 12% super (dependent on qualifications and experience).

Chadstone Campus – onsite parking and close proximity to public transport.

The Design and Finishing Trades Department at Holmesglen delivers a diverse range of programs across fashion and interior design, furniture manufacturing and upholstery, trowel trades, painting, and printing. With strong industry connections and a focus on practical, industry-aligned training, the department supports students from Certificate II through to advanced diplomas and degree-level programs.

As a Casual Teacher, you will deliver engaging, hands-on training in automotive and marine trimming technology and upholstery.
n
In this role, you will:
n
n
Deliver engaging, hands-on training and assessment in Auto Trimming.
n
Develop and continuously improve learning resources and assessment tools that reflect current industry practices.
n
Share your expertise across automotive interiors, marine canopies, soft furnishings, and custom upholstery applications.
n
Support students to build practical, industry-ready skills in a safe and inclusive learning environment.
n
Build strong industry connections and contribute to keeping training current, relevant, and aligned with workforce needs.
n

To be successful, you'll have:
n
n
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE*****) or equivalent.
n
Certificate III in Automotive and Marine Trimming (or equivalent relevant qualification).
n
Strong industry experience in automotive and marine trimming, upholstery, and soft furnishings.
n
Passion for sharing your trade knowledge and supporting diverse learners.
n
Current knowledge of VET, competency-based training, and industry practices.
n
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
n
A collaborative, adaptable approach and commitment to continuous learning.
n
n
WWCC and Police Check:
n
Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Victorian 'employee' Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.
n
