Job Description
Reporting to the Site Manager and based at our Berrinba QLD (40 McPhee Drive) facility, the Operations Manager plays a key role in overseeing warehouse operations across a multi-customer contract setting within our Contract Logistics division.

You'll oversee daily operations while leading and supporting a team of supervisors, inventory controllers, administrators and a large warehouse workforce of storepersons, ensuring safe, efficient and high-performing outcomes across the site.

The role is responsible for delivering strong service and operational outcomes while contributing to the contract P&L; through effective budget management, ost awareness and continuous improvement initiatives.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
n
Specifically, you will:
n
n
Oversee daily warehouse operations across multiple customer contracts to deliver safe, efficient and high-performing outcomes.
n
Provide guidance, support and direction to supervisors, inventory controllers, administrators and warehouse storepersons.
n
Plan and manage labour, resources and operational priorities to meet customer service and contractual requirements.
n
Support and improve operational performance through KPI management, reporting and structured performance reviews.
n
Maintain strong customer relationships and build and maintain strong, collaborative customer relationships and act as a key point of contact for operational matters.
n
Ensure high levels of inventory accuracy through effective cycle counting, stock management and process discipline.
n
Support safety initiatives including incident investigations, risk assessments,



toolbox talks and compliance with operational procedures.
n
Promote lean thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
n
Contribute to the contract P&L; through effective budget management, cost awareness and optimisation of operational resources.
n
Maintain effective use of warehouse systems and operational reporting tools to support visibility and decision making.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
n
The ideal candidate is an experienced logistics and supply chain leader with proven success managing warehouse operations and delivering strong people, safety, customer and commercial outcomes. You'll also have:
n
n
Vocational or tertiary qualification in logistics and supply chain, warehousing or operations management.
n
Significant experience leading warehouse operations and large frontline operational teams.
n
Solid understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control and operational best practice.
n
Commercial awareness with experience managing operational budgets and contributing to contract P&L; outcomes.
n
Applied understanding of Enterprise Agreements and/or Awards when managing operational workforces.
n
Experience operating within a customer-driven logistics environment,



ideally within a 3PL or contract logistics setting.
n

In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.
