About the Opportunity

Humero Recruitment Partners are partnering with a large, well-recognised Australian organisation to recruit a Payroll Systems Manager for a 12-month fixed term contract based in Brisbane's inner city suburbs.
n
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Payroll or HRIS systems skilled to take ownership of a broad and impactful role within a complex, multi-entity organisation. You'll work at the intersection of payroll, technology, and data driving system performance, workforce analytics and project delivery across a large and diverse employee base.

The Role
n
Reporting to senior leadership, you will take responsibility for the management and continuous improvement of the organisation's payroll and HRIS systems environment. This is a hands‐on leadership role suited to someone who combines deep systems expertise with strong stakeholder engagement capability and a genuine passion for data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead the management, maintenance, and enhancement of payroll and HR systems across a large, complex organisation
n
Oversee workforce data analysis and reporting, delivering high quality insights to senior leadership
n
Drive payroll systems projects from scoping through to implementation, ensuring outcomes meet operational and strategic needs
n
Manage EBA, award rates,
and remuneration review processes to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance
n
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external system vendors and providers
n

About You
n
n
Significant experience in payroll systems management or HR information systems within a large, complex organisation.
n
Strong understanding and demonstrated hands‐on Aurion experience is essential for this role
n
Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate workforce data into meaningful insights
n
Proven project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines
n
Excellent communicator and stakeholder manager with an internal consultant mindset
n
