Our client is a well-established industrial manufacturing business with a strong operational presence in the Newcastle region. We are partnering with them to appoint an experienced HSE Advisor on a fixed-term contract to support their site-based operations.
This opportunity will suit a practical and proactive safety professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams, building strong relationships across site and contributing to a positive and proactive safety culture.
Reporting into senior operational and safety leadership, you will provide hands-on HSE support across the site, working closely with leaders, employees and contractors to maintain compliance, support continuous improvement and strengthen safety practices across the operation.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day HSE advice and support across site operations
Partner with operational leaders and employees to promote strong safety practices
Conduct workplace inspections, audits and compliance reviews
Support incident investigations, corrective actions and follow-up activities
Monitor HSE performance, reporting and compliance requirements
Assist with the implementation and continuous improvement of HSE systems, procedures and processes
Support risk assessments and hazard identification activities
Assist with contractor safety and compliance requirements
Support environmental and legislative compliance obligations
Contribute to ongoing safety initiatives and continuous improvement across the site
About You
Previous experience in an HSE, Safety or similar advisory role




Experience within manufacturing, heavy industry, engineering, mining or another operational environment
Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and compliance requirements
Experience with incident investigations, audits, inspections and risk management
Solid communication and stakeholder engagement skills
A practical, collaborative and solutions-focused approach
Confidence working directly with frontline operational teams and senior stakeholders
Strong organisational, documentation and reporting capability
