The Opportunity
n
We have an opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join CIMIC's corporate finance function, based in our North Sydney office.
n
Supporting month-end processes, reconciliations, reporting and financial control activities, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day delivery of accounting outcomes across a complex global organisation.
n
This role sits within a central corporate finance function, providing broad exposure to financial accounting, reporting, controls and governance across a complex global organisation.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Support timely and accurate execution of financial accounting activities, month-end close processes and reporting requirements
n
Prepare and review month-end journal entries, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
n
Prepare monthly reporting submissions and reconciliations within OneStream
n
Support statutory financial reporting, tax reporting and compliance requirements
n




Maintain and strengthen financial controls and governance frameworks
n
Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, including variance analysis and validation
n
Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance reporting, controls and efficiency
n
Coordinate and support internal and external audit requirements
n
Support ad hoc projects and finance initiatives as required
n

About You
n
n
Experience supporting finance and accounting functions within a corporate environment
n
Confidence in SAP and other financial systems
n
Exposure to reconciliations, accruals, month-end processes and general accounting activities
n
Comfortable working with financial data, reporting processes and transactional accounting environments
n
Proactive, adaptable and willing to learn
n
Enjoy working in a structured, collaborative and controls-focused environment
n
Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
n
CA or CPA qualified, or currently studying towards completion
n
