Job Description
We're looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client's innovative team where you'll be involved in designing, developing and testing new products from concept through to production.

This is a hands-on engineering role that will see you work across the full product development lifecycle, collaborating with experienced engineers and researchers to bring new ideas to life.

What You'll Be Doing
n
As part of a collaborative engineering team, you'll:
n
n
Design mechanical components and assemblies from concept through to manufacture.
n
Create detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings using Solid Edge, SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
n
Build, assemble and test prototypes to validate new designs.
n
Perform engineering calculations and design analysis.
n
Work closely with manufacturing to ensure designs are practical, scalable and production-ready.
n
Prepare engineering documentation including drawings, specifications, DFMEAs and risk assessments.
n
Drive continuous improvement across products, equipment and engineering processes.
n
Collaborate with R&D;, Production and Quality teams throughout the product development process.
n

About You
n
We're looking for an engineer who enjoys creating innovative solutions and isn't afraid to get hands-on.
n
You'll have:
n
n




A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
n
At least 3 years' experience in mechanical product design.
n
Strong 3D CAD modelling experience using Solid Edge, SolidWorks or similar.
n
Experience designing products from first principles rather than modifying existing designs.
n
An understanding of GD&T;, engineering calculations and design validation.
n
A practical, hands-on approach to prototype assembly and testing.
n
Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication.
