We are seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join an established Supported Independent Living (SIL) home in Bathurst.

About Veritas House Support Services
n
Our Veritas House Support Services team provide supports to the various programs of Veritas House - a vibrant not for profit community based organisation with a specific focus on supporting vulnerable children, young people and their families in the Bathurst and Orange areas. These are a combination of assessment, therapeutic intervention, behaviour support and
consultation/advice
services which help meet the needs of children, young people, families and carers of Veritas House. Additionally, they provide services to the general community, with a focus on supporting the needs of children, young people, families and participants.

About the Role
n
Veritas House Support Services is seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join an established Supported Independent Living (SIL) home in Bathurst.
n
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a consistent support team delivering high-quality, person-centred support to NDIS participants.
n
We currently have:
n
Permanent Part-Time positions available with fixed rostered shifts.
n
Casual positions available for flexible coverage.
n
Opportunities across a 24/7 roster including active night shifts, weekends and public holidays.
n
As a SIL Disability Support Worker, you will provide direct support to participants within their home and community, supporting them to:
n
n
Live as independently as possible
n
Develop and maintain daily living skills
n
Achieve their NDIS goals
n
Participate in community activities.
n
Maintain meaningful relationships and social connections
n
Manage household routines and responsibilities
n
Build confidence, choice and control in their everyday lives
n
n
About You
n
You are someone who:
n
n




Has a genuine passion for supporting people with disability
n
Understands person-centred and strengths-based practice
n
Is reliable, flexible and committed to making a positive difference
n
Works well independently and within a team environment
n
Can confidently follow support plans and organisational procedures
n
Is comfortable working a 24/7 roster including active overnight shifts
n

Selection Criteria
n
n
Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or related field (or working towards)
n
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, WWCC, First Aid and CPR Certificate.
n
Current Drivers Licence.
n
Strong communication and documentation skills
n
Previous Supported Independent Living (SIL) experience
n
Experience supporting participants with complex needs, psychosocial disability or autism
n
n
