Our client is a well-established co-educational Catholic secondary school in regional NSW, supporting students across Years 7-12, including a significant boarding community.

With a strong sense of community, a proud history and a clear focus on student development, the school is looking for a Marketing & Communications Officer to help tell its story and showcase everything that makes the College unique.

This is a highly varied marketing role where you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of the College's communications, content and brand presence.
n
One day you could be photographing a major school event, the next developing a social media campaign, creating content for the school website, working on the College magazine or helping promote enrolments.

You'll have the opportunity to:

Own and shape the College's marketing and communications presence

Create engaging content across digital, social and traditional channels

Bring events, student achievements and community stories to life

Work across photography, graphic design, social media and content creation

Help shape campaigns that support enrolments and community engagement

Work closely with College leadership and staff across the organisation

Build relationships with local community organisations, schools and partners

About the role
n
Reporting to the Deputy Principal, you'll be responsible for planning,
developing and delivering marketing and communications initiatives that enhance the College's reputation, visibility and engagement.
n
You'll be involved in:
n
n
Developing and delivering marketing and communications campaigns
n
Managing social media platforms and creating engaging editorial content
n
Maintaining and developing the College website
n
Creating digital and social media assets
n
Photographing major College events, activities and achievements
n
Designing marketing collateral and promotional materials
n
Coordinating the College newsletter and magazine
n
Supporting the Annual Report
n
Promoting Open Days, enrolment events, performances, liturgies and community celebrations
n
Supporting enrolment marketing and school tours
n
Preparing content for local media
n
Developing promotional resources for faculties, teams and eventsSupporting internal communications and staff engagement
n
Monitoring marketing analytics and preparing performance reports
n
Conducting market research and competitor analysis
n
Keeping up with emerging marketing and social media trends
n
Supporting broader workforce recruitment marketing initiatives
n
n

We're looking for someone who enjoys creating rather than simply coordinating.
n
You'll ideally have experience across:
n
n
Marketing and communications
n
Social media management
n
Content creation and copywriting
n
Photography and photo editing
n
Graphic design
n
Website management
n
Digital marketing
n
Event promotion
n
n
Experience with Canva, InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite, Mailchimp and website platforms such as Wix will be highly regarded.

You'll also bring:

A robust eye for detail and visual presentation

Excellent organisational and time-management skills
n
The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
n
Strong initiative and problem-solving skills

The ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with others

A genuine understanding of social media trends and digital engagement
n
The confidence to work with senior stakeholders and external partners
n

A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related discipline would be desirable, as would previous experience within education.

The details
n
Location: Forbes, NSW Employment: Full-Time or Part-Time Department: Operations Reports to: Deputy Principal Classification: School Support 2-7b, in accordance with the relevant NSW Catholic Independent Schools Support Staff Enterprise Agreement. Some flexibility outside standard College hours will be required for major events, functions, meetings and presentations.
