Job Description
We are looking for an early career Speech Pathologist to join our small, locally owned multidisciplinary team.
n
We know the first few years as a Speech Pathologist can feel exciting, challenging and emotionally demanding all at once. Our goal is to provide an environment where clinicians feel supported to grow sustainably — with strong supervision, genuine collaboration and flexibility built into the role.
n
We are a community-minded allied health practice that has supported local families for over 10 years, with robust referral pathways established well before the NDIS. We value long-term relationships, meaningful client outcomes, and creating a workplace where clinicians can build confidence and skills without burning out.
n
What makes this role different?
n
We are intentionally building a workplace that supports both clinician wellbeing and high-quality client care.
n
As a smaller practice, we can offer flexibility and responsiveness that larger organisations often cannot. You won't be expected to fit into a one-size-fits-all model. Clinicians are encouraged to contribute ideas, help shape processes, develop their clinical interests, and communicate openly about what helps them work well.
n
We understand that people have different communication styles, different strengths and different support needs. What matters to us is a willingness to collaborate, problem-solve, communicate respectfully and engage as part of the team.
n
Your caseload
n
Our caseload is predominantly paediatric, with a strong focus on supporting neurodivergent clients and a variety of disabilities. We also work with people across the lifespan, so there is flexibility to develop a mixed paediatric and adult caseload depending on your interests and experience.
n
For clinicians interested in developing or maintaining skills in adult practice, there are opportunities to work with adult clients, including dysphagia, with appropriate supervision and support.
n

Most services are provided from our clinic, which supports easy access to the team and opportunities for collaboration throughout the day. We also provide some off-site services and can incorporate more community-based work into your role if this is an area you particularly enjoy.
n
What we offer
n
Full-time or part-time options
n
Flexible and negotiable work hours
n
Gradual and supported caseload development
n
Weekly 1:1 supervision for full-time early career clinicians
n
Weekly peer supervision and collaboration time
n
Structured mentorship in addition to clinical supervision
n
Dedicated time for clinical administration, supported by strong administrative systems and staff
n
Opportunities to shape your caseload around your developing clinical interests
n
A sustainable minimum billable expectation of 55% for full-time clinicians, leaving genuine work time for administration, supervision, collaboration and professional development
n
Financial incentives are available for clinicians who choose to work above their minimum billable expectations
n
PD budget of $500 per year, or $1,000 during your new graduate year
n
Generous professional development leave of up to one week of your usual work hours annually
n
Additional paid leave days between Christmas and New Year
n
A collaborative multidisciplinary team environment
n
A workplace focused on sustainable workloads, flexibility and professional growth
n
Salary from approximately $78,000 + super for a full-time clinician, with higher remuneration negotiated based on experience, skills and role responsibilities.
n
Who we're looking for
n
Values genuine relationships and community connection
n
Is open to learning and professional growth
n
Communicates respectfully and collaboratively
n
Is willing to problem-solve and seek support when needed
n
Wants to contribute positively to team culture
n
Values sustainable and meaningful clinical practice
n
Local applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
