This is a locum doctor role for a Geriatrics Consultant at Wagga Wagga in NSW.
n
Aged Care ward is covered by 2 geriatricians and a 16 bed mixed acuity ward with patients soured from inpatient consults, the community, emergency department and outlier hospitals. It has full time allied health cover and is supported by the advanced trainee and 2 interns. Perioperative service with blanket referral for all neck of femur fractures and a surgical liaison service to the other inpatient surgical teams.

The workload is divided up into 3 separate parts of the service currently.

Medical consults and inpatients on the aged care ward with AT support
n
Emergency department cover and inpatients on the aged care ward with AT support
n
Perioperative cover without AT support
n
n
The clinic days will depend on which role being covered
