Your New Role
n
We are seeking an experienced Senior Media Manager, to lead our investment communications strategy. Working closely with our Chief Investment Officer and Investment Leadership Team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping how Aware Super's investment story is told across Australia and international markets.
n
Key responsibilities will include:
n
n
To lead Aware Super's investment communications strategy
n
Partner with senior leaders, to provide trusted communications advice, executive profiling and stakeholder engagement support.
n
Drive proactive media engagement, building strong relationships with key business, financial and investment journalists across Australia and international markets.
n
Position Aware Super and its leaders as industry thought leaders, identifying opportunities to elevate our voice on investment, retirement and policy issues.
n
Lead communications for major investment activities, including strategic transactions, partnerships and high-profile initiatives, ensuring clear and effective stakeholder engagement.
n
Protect and enhance the Fund's reputation, managing complex issues and reputational risks through strategic counsel, crisis communications and proactive scenario planning
n

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:
n
n
10+ years' experience in investment communications, corporate communications, financial media relations, financial services communications or business journalism.
n
Strong understanding of investments, superannuation, financial services or asset management.
n
Extensive experience in issues and crisis management.
n
Outstanding written, verbal and stakeholder engagement skills.
n
Demonstrated ability to influence and advise senior executives.
n
Robust media network and proven ability to generate impactful coverage.
n
Experience coaching senior leaders for media and public engagements.
n
Sound judgement and the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-profile environments.
n
You are balanced in accepting risk in any decision you face. You are curious to understand risk context and choose to speak up as we simplify, learn and grow.
