The Opportunity
n
This isn't a role where you'll be micromanaged. We're after a Senior Estimator who thrives on autonomy — someone who can pick up a set of drawings and confidently quote a commercial electrical project from start to finish: underground services, mains and sub-mains, switchboards, lighting and power, right through to fit-off. You'll know exactly how to land a competitive, profitable tender without needing your hand held. You'll have real ownership over your pipeline, backed by a Director and Project Managers who trust you to get it right on major commercial builds.

What you'll be doing:
n
n
Preparing accurate, competitive estimates and tenders across the full scope of a commercial electrical project — undergrounds, mains and sub‐mains, switchboards, lighting, power and everything in between
n
Reading and interpreting drawings, specifications and scopes of work
n




Liaising directly with suppliers and subcontractors to lock in the best pricing
n
Spotting project risks and value‐engineering opportunities before they become problems
n
Attending site visits and pre‐tender briefings
n
Handing won jobs over cleanly to the Project Managers
n
Keeping sharp records of quotes, margins and win rates
n

What You'll Bring
n
n
Proven runs on the board estimating commercial electrical construction projects start to finish — confident quoting everything from undergrounds through to switchboards, lighting and power
n
Deep, practical knowledge of electrical systems, materials and installation methods
n
Confidence reading technical drawings and specs without needing to ask twice
n
Sharp numeracy and an eye for detail that catches what others miss
n
Strong negotiation instincts with suppliers and subcontractors
n
A genuine ability to work autonomously — you set your own pace and manage your own workload
n
Experience with Simpro highly regarded but not essential
n
A trade background or electrical engineering qualification (highly regarded, not essential)
n
Transparent, confident communication with clients, subcontractors and the internal team
n
