ADF Health Services delivers integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force personnel nationwide. Under this contract, Serco, in partnership with Bupa, provides defence-ready clinical and support staff across 50+ on-base locations—ensuring ADF members have access to high-quality, on-site healthcare. About The Role
n
As a Civilian Psychologist, you'll be a key member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, supporting the complex and diverse mental health needs of active ADF personnel.
n
Your Impact Will Include
n
n
Conducting comprehensive intakes and psychological assessments
n
Delivering tailored, evidence-based psychological interventions
n
Administering psychometric assessments within scope
n
Managing your own caseload with professional autonomy
n
Coordinating and overseeing externally referred cases
n
Participating in crisis response, risk assessment, and management planning
n
Collaborating within a supportive, multidisciplinary team
n
n
This role offers flexibility to practice within your areas of interest while contributing directly to Defence capability and operational readiness.

About the Location
n
Darwin Health Centre sits within RAAF Base Darwin, which shares a runway with Darwin International Airport. The base plays a major role in annual Defence exercises across the Northern Territory.

The Centre
n
n
Supports a routine dependency of approximately 520 members
n
Surges to an additional 1,500 Australian and international Defence personnel during major Air Force exercises
n
Provides nursing, mental health, physiotherapy, and pharmaceutical services
n
n
Operating hours are typically ********* Monday–Thursday, with a half day Friday **********).

About You
n
n
Current,
unconditional AHPRA registration as a Registered Psychologist
n
Minimum 2 years' post-graduate mental health experience (within past 5 years)
n
Experience in psychological assessment and delivery of Focused Psychological Strategies
n
Current CPR certificate (HLTAID009)
n
Knowledge of relevant legislation and ADF Mental Health & Wellbeing Strategy (desirable)
n
Australian Citizenship
n
Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Defence Security Clearance
n
