A highly regarded regional Accounting and Business Advisory firm is seeking an experienced SMSF qualified to join its leadership team in a senior capacity. This role offers the opportunity to lead and develop a growing SMSF function, mentor junior staff, work closely with Partners, and contribute to the strategic growth of the business. For the right individual, there is a genuine pathway towards partnership. This role would suit someone looking to relocate to regional Victoria.

About the Role
n
Working closely with senior leadership, you will take ownership of a portfolio of Self-Managed Super Funds while providing technical expertise, leadership, and commercial insight across the practice.
n
Key responsibilities include
n
n
Managing and reviewing SMSF financial statements, tax returns, and audit-ready files
n
Leading, mentoring, and developing junior team members
n
Maintaining compliance with SMSF legislation and regulatory requirements
n
Managing workflow, resource allocation, and team performance
n
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
n
Supporting business development and identifying growth opportunities
n
Assisting with client meetings,



strategic advice, and partner-level initiatives
n
Driving process improvements and operational efficiencies
n
n
About You
n
To be successful, you will ideally possess:
n
n
10+ years' experience within public practice accounting and/or SMSF advisory
n
CA or CPA qualification
n
Strong technical knowledge of SMSF legislation and compliance requirements
n
Extensive experience managing SMSF portfolios
n
High proficiency with BGL and related practice management systems
n
Proven leadership and team development experience
n
Strong commercial acumen and client relationship skills
n
A proactive, solutions-focused approach with aspirations towards leadership
n
