Skydive Australia is part of Experience Co (ASX: EXP), an ASX listed adventure tourism company operating across Australia and New Zealand. Since ****, we've grown from a single aircraft to multiple drop zones nationwide, delivering high adrenaline experiences in some of the most iconic locations in the country.

Starting out with just one single-engine aircraft in ****, we have grown rapidly to be where we are today. Increasing heart rates and creating incredible exhilarating experiences is what we aim to do!

The role
n
As Drop Zone Manager - Cairns, you will be accountable for the end to end performance of one of our premier skydiving locations, overseeing its people, operations, customer experience, and financial outcomes.
n
You will lead a high performing team, ensuring the smooth and safe running of daily operations while driving solid commercial and customer results. Working closely with the Chief Instructor and support teams, you will play a key leadership role in maintaining operational excellence and delivering an exceptional guest experience.
n
This role requires a leader who is confident making decisions in a fast paced, safety critical environment and who can balance operational demands with commercial performance.

What success looks like

In this role, you will:
n
Deliver strong site performance, including revenue growth, profitability, cost control, and labour efficiency
n
Lead a high performing team that operates with accountability, consistency, and pride in delivery
n
Ensure a consistently high standard of customer experience that supports repeat business and reputation growth
n
Maintain a safe, compliant, and well executed operation at all times
n
Make timely and effective operational decisions in a fast paced, safety critical environment
n




Identify and implement practical improvements that enhance efficiency and commercial performance
n
Build strong local relationships that support awareness, bookings, and community engagement
n
Develop capability across the team through ongoing coaching and support
n
About you
n
You are a commercially minded leader who thrives on accountability and results. You're comfortable taking ownership of outcomes and leading teams in dynamic operational environments.
n
You bring:
n
Formal qualification in Business, Operations Management, or a related discipline
n
Proven leadership experience in a fast paced operational environment
n
Strong commercial capability with an understanding of revenue drivers, cost control, and labour management
n
Experience managing rosters, workforce planning, and operational teams
n
Sound judgement and confidence making decisions under pressure
n
A natural customer first approach balanced with commercial thinking
n
The ability to coach, develop, and hold people accountable to performance standards
n
A strong commitment to safety, compliance, and operational discipline
n
Experience in tourism, aviation, hospitality, or other high volume environments (highly regarded)
n
