The Opportunity
n
A growing, private equity backed infrastructure and supply chain business is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its high-performing finance team. Operating across Australia and New Zealand, the business plays a critical role in supporting large-scale supply chains for leading supermarkets.
n
Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, this is a broad role combining financial reporting and cost accounting.You will support multiple Australian and New Zealand operations, gaining exposure to month-end reporting, financial control, cost analysis and operational business partnering.

The Challenge
n
As Financial Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Delivering month-end and year-end reporting across ANZ, including journals, reconciliations and balance sheet controls
n
Driving cost analysis and partnering with operational stakeholders to understand performance and variances
n




Supporting budgeting, forecasting and monthly performance reviews
n
Providing technical accounting support across revenue, working capital, leases, fixed assets and intercompany transactions
n
Assisting with tax, compliance and audit requirements (BAS, FBT, year-end)
n
Supporting process improvements, controls uplift and ad-hoc finance projects
n

The Expertise
n
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following:
n
n
Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
n
CA or CPA qualification, or currently working towards completion
n
3+ years experience within Business Services, Audit or a financial accounting role with manufacturing, logistics, FMCG or other aligned industries
n
Strong grounding in financial accounting, including month-end, journals, accruals, reconciliations and financial reporting
n
Solid analytical capability with an interest in understanding operational and commercial drivers
n
Confidence working with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
n
Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems; SAP experience would be advantageous
n
A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail and an interest in developing broader commercial finance capability
n
