We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Support Worker to provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals living with disability, mental health challenges, aged care needs, or complex support requirements.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in personal care, transfers, manual handling, and supporting participants to achieve their goals while maintaining dignity, independence, and choice.As a Senior Support Worker, you will also provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to support staff, ensuring the delivery of protected, professional, and compliant services.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide personal care support, including showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, continence management, and meal assistance.Perform safe manual handling and transfers using hoists, standing aids, wheelchairs, and other mobility equipment.Support participants with daily living activities and community access.Administer or assist with medications in accordance with organisational policies and training requirements.Develop positive relationships with participants, families, guardians, and allied health professionals.Support individuals with complex care needs, challenging behaviours, mental health conditions, or high-intensity supports.Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, incident reports, and care records.Monitor participant wellbeing and promptly report concerns or changes in condition.Mentor and support junior staff through coaching, guidance, and role modelling.Assist with staff training, onboarding, and maintaining best-practice standards.Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards, Workplace Health and Safety requirements, and organisational policies.Promote participant choice, independence, inclusion,



and community engagement.Essential RequirementsCertificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services, Aged Care, or a related qualification.Demonstrated experience in personal care, transfers, manual handling, and complex support needs.Experience working within the disability, community, or aged care sector.Current First Aid and CPR certification.Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.Current Working with Children Check (where applicable).
