About Lavarack Health Centre
Lavarack Health Centre is located in Townsville at Lavarack Barracks, the largest Army base in Australia.
It includes the Operational Deployment Force and facilities to undertake mission rehearsal exercises prior to deployment.
The facility provides primary medical, underwater medical, surgical outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical care to approximately **** members.
It also operates a 24/7 inpatient low dependency ward.
The standard operating hours of the centre are generally ********* Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend shifts).
We are seeking someone to work part time, Wednesdays and Fridays.
What You Will Do




Deliver high-quality primary care to Defence membersOcc Med environmentWork collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environmentConduct fitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment careProvide medical advice to Defence health leadership
What You Bring
Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a General PractitionerFRACGP, FACRRM or Vocational RegistrationMinimum two years' GP experience in the last five yearsCurrent CPR certification (HLTAID009)Australian Citizenship required (Baseline Security Clearance)Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care
Additional Information
Provide Occupational Medicine servicesCivilian role – no enlistment requiredPart-time, full-time and after-hours opportunities available
