This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, aspiring and customer-focused Retail Manager to join our ever-growing, well-loved family business in North Sydney. In this fast-paced, multifaceted role, you will manage the day-to-day retail operations of the store, delivering the highest standard of customer service.

Your principal duties and tasks will be to:
n
n
Manage the day-to-day retail operations of the store(s) to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently while optimising profits
n
Ensure delivery of customer service is of a high standard at all times to assure customer satisfaction
n
Ensure customer enquiries are handled courteously, accurately and in a timely manner, including advising customers on product use
n
Manage levels of stock and purchases (non-dispensary) and maintain records for store-related expenses, including stock rotation and monitoring of product expiry dates
n
Promote the store's products and services, ensuring pricing and product displays are compliant and kept up to date as per Buyer/Campaign instructions
n
Build and maintain customer rapport and loyalty
n




Address customer complaints about goods and services professionally and in a timely manner, escalating to the Owner or Area Manager as required
n
Interview, hire and induct new employees, and ensure staff are well-informed on current sales and promotions
n
Ensure front-of-store staff receive training in safe work practices and store security procedures, and enforce these as necessary
n
Prepare and manage budgets for store revenue and expenses
n
Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among employees, and promote a positive working environment
n
Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and the business's safety policies, directives and procedures
n
All other duties related to the position of Retail Manager.

Skills and Experience Required
n
n
Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma qualification, or three years of relevant experience in lieu of formal qualifications; a Bachelor degree or higher would be beneficial
n
At least 2 years of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced retail pharmacy (more is advantageous)
n
Demonstrated experience in the day-to-day running of a store or department, including inventory control, stocktaking and shift scheduling
n
Solid conflict resolution experience and the ability to de-escalate situations
n
Proven ability leading and supervising staff, including mentoring and on-the-job training
n
Proven track record building strong and effective relationships with staff
n
Proven ability working towards sales targets and KPIs
n
Strong organisational, time management and problem-solving skills
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
A motivated, proactive and positive outlook, with a willingness to learn and grow with the business.
