$99,*********,271 per annum, Plus Superannuation and Annual Leave Loading

This position is open to Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people only.

As a Services and Programs Officer (SAPO), you will play an important role in helping women build stronger futures, reconnect with family and community, and reduce reoffending.
Working at Dillwynia Correctional Centre, you will provide culturally safe case management, program delivery, and individual support to women navigating complex personal, family, alcohol and other drug, and reintegration challenges.
Your cultural knowledge, lived experience, and understanding of Aboriginal communities will be highly valued in helping create positive outcomes for women, families, and communities.
What you'll do
Support intake screening, induction, assessment, and case planning
Deliver individual interventions and crisis support for offenders
Facilitate accredited and approved group-based programs
Support pre-release planning and referrals to community services
Deliver health promotion and harm reduction initiatives
Maintain clear and compliant case notes and reporting in OIMS
Work closely with internal teams and external community organisations to support offender rehabilitation and reintegration
What we're looking for
We are looking for someone who is:
Passionate about supporting Aboriginal people and communities
Culturally aware, respectful, and community-minded
Experienced in case management, welfare support, counselling, or human services
Confident working with people experiencing complex personal or social challenges
Able to build strong relationships and work collaboratively
Organised, resilient, and confident managing competing priorities




Essential requirements
Relevant qualifications in social work, psychology, mental health, or other human services fields and/or equivalent demonstrated experience
Current Certificate IV in Correctional Practice (or willingness to complete within required timeframes)
Current driver licence and willingness to travel across NSW if required
Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander persons who are culturally aware and responsive to the needs of Aboriginal people and communities
