About the role
As a Field Service Maintenance Engineer at Sensys Gatso Australia, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our traffic management solutions across Tasmania.
This full-time position is based in Cambridge, TAS ****, and involves providing responsive, high-quality maintenance services to our Mobile Roadside Operators and our Tasmanian Client.
What you'll be doing
Performing preventative and reactive maintenance on traffic management equipment, including mobile speed camera equipment, Automatic Number Plate Recognition and Seatbelt/mobile camera detection technologies.
Conducting regular inspections and diagnostics of vehicles, trailers, trailer pneumatic masts as well as repairs of traffic management equipment to identify and address any issues promptly
Collaborating with the wider Tasmanian office and the SGA support team to diagnose and resolve technical issues with our systems
Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance activities and providing progress updates to the team.
You will have strong computer literacy skills and be familiar with G-suite applications, JIRA and asset tracking software systems.
Responding to emergency callouts and resolving issues in a timely manner to minimise disruption and support service delivery.
The ability to travel statewide from time to time is required.
Liaising with mobile roadside operators and other stakeholders to understand their needs and explain technical issues and solutions.
What we're looking for




Relevant technical qualifications in electrical, electronic, or mechanical engineering, or a related discipline
Minimum Certificate III/IV level qualification required
Extensive experience in the maintenance and repair of traffic management equipment or similar industrial systems.
3-5 years of traffic management equipment maintenance experience would be highly regarded.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with Mobile Roadside Operators and other stakeholders.
A valid driver's licence, working at heights experience and the willingness to travel intra-state to various sites as required
A commitment to safety and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks
Australian work authorisation is required for this position
