Role DescriptionThis is a part or full-time, on-site role for a Speech Language Pathologist based in Brendale, QLD. The Speech Language Pathologist will assess, diagnose, and manage communication and swallowing needs for children and young people, working closely with families and caregivers. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing evidence-based therapy plans, and documenting progress in a clear and timely manner.
The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, participating in case discussions, and contributing to family education and support. The clinician will also engage in ongoing professional development and help foster a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment for all clients.
Qualifications
Demonstrated skills in Speech Therapy and management of Speech sound disorders.
Experience supporting individuals with Communication Disorders and Language Disorders.
Relevant tertiary degree in Speech Pathology and eligibility for qualified membership and registration (e.g., Speech Pathology Australia or equivalent).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team and build positive relationships with families.
Commitment to evidence-based practice, cultural safety, child safeguarding, and ethical care.
Organizational and time-management skills to handle a varied caseload and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
New graduates and experienced clinicians are encouraged to apply; paediatric experience is highly regarded.
