About the Role
We are seeking an experienced
Clinical Nurse Educator
to provide clinical education, mentoring and support to our nursing teams for 2 days a week.
You'll help build clinical capability, promote best practice and contribute to quality and protected care outcomes across our services.
This is a great opportunity to use your clinical experience to
develop others, improve practice and make a meaningful difference to patient and family outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical education, orientation and professional development support to nursing staff.
Promote a positive learning culture and support ongoing capability development across the service.
Monitor patient/consumer care plans and support appropriate care outcomes.
Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff, students and less experienced team members.
Support the delivery of secure, high-quality and evidence-based nursing care.
Contribute to organisation-wide and external projects, including clinical protocols, guidelines and process improvement initiatives.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to identify learning needs and improve clinical practice.
Promote teamwork, professional development and continuous improvement.
Support continuity and consistency of care in collaboration with the Regional Team Manager or relevant service/ward/unit leadership.
Contribute to quality, safety, governance and clinical improvement activities.
What You'll Bring
Registration, or eligibility for registration, as a Nurse with the
Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
, including a current or eligible practising certificate.
Minimum
3 years' post-graduation nursing experience
.
Demonstrated clinical competence and experience within the relevant area of nursing practice.
Experience providing clinical education, supervision or mentoring to nursing staff and/or students.
Strong understanding of contemporary nursing practice, legislation and clinical governance requirements.
Strong communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
A passion for developing others and improving clinical outcomes.
Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
A commitment to quality, safety and person-centred care.
