As we prepare to restart this Southern Coalfields operation, we are seeking expressions of interest for experienced and motivated Deputies to join us in building a safe, productive and sustainable future.

ABOUT THE ROLE

/n

We are seeking expressions of interest for suitably qualified candidates for permanent positions based at Tahmoor Mine, located in the Southern Highlands of NSW, approximately 80 kilometres south-west of Sydney and within easy commuting distance of Wollongong, the Macarthur region and surrounding communities.

/n

We are looking for experienced Deputies (Mining Supervisors) to:

/n

/n

- Supervise crews and inspect work areas to ensure safe and compliant operations.

/n

- Monitor and enforce compliance with mining legislation, statutory requirements and site Safety Management Systems.

/n

- Lead and support crews to work safely while achieving operational objectives.

/n





- Identify and manage workplace hazards through effective risk assessment and task planning.

/n

- Report safety, compliance and operational issues to the Undermanager.

/n

- Complete statutory inspections and ensure all required reports are accurate and submitted on time.

/n

- Promote a solid safety culture and continuous improvement across the operation.

/n

- Weekday & Weekend Day/Afternoon/Night shift rosters are available.

ABOUT YOU

/n

You are a safety focused leader with a drive to exceed expectations and achieve operational targets and improvements. Your strong interpersonal leadership skills will be crucial to your success in this role.

/n

To be considered for the role, you must have:

/n

/n

- Minimum 12 months' experience working as a Deputy in an Underground Coal Mine

/n

- NSW Deputy Mining Supervisor Qualification

/n

- Generic Underground Coal Induction including Self-Escape and CABA training

/n

- Current Australian Driver's Licence

/n

- Evidence of relevant training, qualifications and competencies including NSW Deputy Practicing Certificate along with complaint Maintenance of Competence

/n

- Strong commitment to safety and hazard awareness

/n/n
