Job Description

Excel is an established civil contractor delivering bulk and detailed earthworks, remediation, service installation and civil infrastructure projects throughout Sydney. With a strong pipeline of secured work and long-term client relationships, we're continuing to grow and are looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team.

We're looking for an experienced estimator with a minimum of five years' experience, preferably within the Sydney metropolitan market.

/n

Duties may include:

/n

/n

- Lead tender submissions from initial enquiry through to project handover

/n

- Value engineering

/n

- Negotiate subcontract pricing

/n

- Reading and interpreting drawings

/n

- Preparing accurate quantity take-offs

/n

- Attending pre-tender and post-tender site meetings

/n

- Maintaining and developing relationships with suppliers and sub-contractors

/n

- Managing Expressions of Interests

/n/n

You'll bring:

/n

/n

- Minimum of 5 years experience within the Sydney Metropolitan Area

/n

- Demonstrated success in preparing competitive tenders

/n





- Ability to estimate using first principles as well as using estimating software.

/n

- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Project.

/n

- Ability to work collaboratively within our estimating team while also managing work independently

/n

- Qualified approach when dealing with clients, subcontractors and colleagues

/n

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

/n

- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

/n

- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

/n
