Graphic Designer (Customer & Stakeholder Management)
/n 10 month contract to 30 June 2027

/n Cairns or Townsville

/n

In collaboration with the Queensland State Government, we are looking for an experienced Graphic Designer to deliver high-quality visual communications across print, digital, video and online channels.

/n

This role supports stakeholder and community engagement initiatives by transforming complex information into clear, engaging and accessible content. Working within a collaborative communications environment, you will provide expert design advice, manage multiple projects and help maintain consistent visual standards across a broad range of communication activities.

/n

What you'll be doing

/n

/n

- Develop creative design solutions that support strategic communication and engagement objectives

/n

- Translate complex information into clear, compelling visual content

/n

- Provide expert advice on branding, design standards and digital communications

/n

- Design and produce publications, brochures, newsletters, presentations and display materials

/n

- Create social media assets, digital advertising and video content

/n

- Ensure all communication materials align with established brand guidelines

/n

- Manage multiple priorities using project management and workflow systems

/n

- Coordinate external suppliers including printers, photographers, videographers and illustrators

/n

- Apply accessibility principles and quality standards across all deliverables

/n

- Contribute to continuous improvement of visual communication processes and services

/n

- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and design professionals to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing

/n/n

What you need to bring

/n

/n

- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign,



Photoshop and Premiere Pro

/n

- Strong skills across graphic design, digital communications and visual storytelling

/n

- Experience producing creative work within large corporate or government environments

/n

- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-volume setting

/n

- Solid problem-solving, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills

/n

- Experience working within established branding and style guide frameworks

/n

- Understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)

/n

- Experience creating accessible PDFs and Microsoft Word documents

/n

- Excellent attention to detail and time management capabilities

/n

- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with stakeholders and team members

/n/n

Bonus points for

/n

/n

- Five or more years' experience in graphic design, visual communication or creative design

/n

- Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience

/n

- Knowledge of Queensland Government processes and policies

/n

- Experience delivering design outcomes across print, digital and video channels simultaneously

/n/n
