Position Purpose

/n

Ensuring cost estimates are produced in a timely and competitive manner in order to secure ongoing opportunities and work.

/n

Organizational Relationships

Internal stakeholders:

Reporting to the Lead estimator and all staff including safety advisor.

/n

External stakeholders:

/n

The position represents Advanced Building Pty Ltd to all customers and external stakeholders. Ensuring the employee presents and conducts themselves in a professional manner at all times including interactions with loss adjusters, insurance parties, sub-contractors and other external parties associated with ABQ.

/n

Role and Responsibilities

/n

/n

- Manage and produce detailed scopes of work and cost estimates in line with project documentation, considering quality, safety, and environmental requirements

/n

- Be able to interpret construction plans and specifications whilst completing take offs to ensure accurate measure of BOQ's.

/n

- Co-ordinate site meetings with sub trades to obtain tender costing

/n

- Provide training and guidance to estimation staff when needed

/n

- Develop relationships with clients, trades, and suppliers to secure ongoing opportunities and pursue recent opportunities as they present

/n





- Participating in regular project site meeting with the wider team to address matters proactively

/n

- Maintaining internal systems and databases

/n

- Inspecting and assessing property damages for repairs and technical projects

/n

- The role has the option for a vehicle allowance, or a company supplied vehicle

/n

- Covering North Brisbane and Sunshine Coast region but not limited (required to travel to South Brisbane, Toowoomba, Gold Coast when required)

- Able to maintain safe work practices in line with WH&S; policies and procedures.

Desirable Skills

/n

/n

- Insurance building experience

/n

- Risk assessment experience

/n

- Organisational skills and ability to write reports

/n

- Understanding of the building code of Australia.

/n

- Previous estimating experience in a similar role.

/n

- Excellent time management and organisational skills

/n

- Advanced verbal and written communication skills

/n

- Able to provide an assessment report in line with clients expectations

/n

- Work autonomously and part of a team of estimators as well as independently.

/n

- Hold a current driving license
