Your mission The Dept of Defence's research labs (DSTG) require a qualified with data analysis and computer modelling skills You will assist in the validation and development of IR based detection tool. The role...10 months contract + 2x 12months extensions options. The contractor will be required but not limited to:
/n
/n
- Assist in the generation of the synthetic images and the subsequent design and conducting of experiments using these images.
/n
- Assist in the further development of the tool by incorporating the effects of wakes into the detection tool.
/n
- Assist in the further development of the tool by investigating the effect of motion on detection range.
/n
- Document all of the above experiments, analysis and results.
/n/n
The objectives of this contract are the ongoing development,
optimisation and validation of tools to predict the detection range of periscope masts. This role would suit someone with a background in electrical science, chemistry, engineering, Computing & Information Systems, data analysis...etc as long as they meet the selection criteria below.
You will need...
/n
/n
- MATLAB experience
/n
- Experience in computer modelling of physical systems
/n
- Experience in image analysis
/n
- Experience in the designing and/or conduct of human observer experiments for characterising visual performance
/n
- Australian Citizenship (ESSENTIAL; for Security Clearances purposes)
