The Opportunity
An opportunity exists for a commercially minded Finance Business Partner to join a large, asset intensive Australian organisation operating a diverse network of critical infrastructure assets across the country.

Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, this role will support a portfolio of Victorian operations and partner closely with operational, commercial and finance stakeholders to drive performance, improve decision making and support the delivery of strategic objectives.

The business is undergoing a period of significant transformation and continuous improvement, creating an opportunity for a high calibre finance professional to make a genuine impact while gaining broad commercial exposure.

The Role
This is a highly visible business partnering position requiring regular interaction with operational leaders and frontline stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

- Ownership of budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities
- Delivering commercial analysis, reporting and performance insights
- Supporting pricing decisions, revenue performance and customer profitability initiatives
- Partnering with operational leaders to improve financial and commercial outcomes
- Assisting with strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives
- Identifying opportunities to enhance reporting, processes and data utilisation
- Providing clear financial insight to support operational decision making

This is a hands on role that combines commercial analysis with genuine stakeholder engagement and operational exposure.





About You
You are an engaging and commercially focused finance professional with experience in a Finance Business Partner, Commercial Analyst, FP&A; or related role.

You bring:

- CA or CPA qualification
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling capability
- Experience partnering with operational stakeholders
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive, resilient and adaptable approach
- Strong commercial acumen and problem solving capability
- Advanced Excel skills, with Power BI, TM1 or similar tools viewed favourably

Experience gained within industrial, logistics, transport, manufacturing, infrastructure, utilities or other asset intensive environments will be the clear priority.
