Pricing Analyst

We're now looking for an experienced Pricing Analyst to join our Commercial Finance team at our Group Support Office in Seven Hills.

This isn't a role focused on simply maintaining price lists. You'll dig into large and complex datasets, understand what drives customer and market behaviour, and turn those insights into pricing strategies that improve revenue, utilisation and profitability.

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, you'll work across Sales, Product, Marketing and Finance, giving you the opportunity to influence commercial decisions across the broader Kennards Hire business.

What You'll Do

- Analyse pricing, transaction and utilisation data to uncover opportunities to improve rates, yield and profitability.

- Develop pricing strategies considering customer value, willingness to pay, price elasticity, demand, utilisation and market conditions.

- Apply revenue and yield management principles to help optimise our hire fleet and time-sensitive rental capacity.

- Build and maintain pricing models and simulate different pricing scenarios.

- Use tools including Excel, Tableau and Power BI to turn complex data into meaningful commercial insights.

- Present pricing analysis, recommendations and opportunities to senior leaders.

- Partner with Sales, Product, Marketing and Finance to develop commercially sound pricing strategies.

- Identify opportunities to automate and improve pricing processes, accuracy and decision-making.





- Bring ideas and proven pricing practices from equipment hire or other industries where capacity and inventory are time-sensitive.

About You

You're commercially curious, analytical and comfortable getting into the detail - but you can also step away from the spreadsheet and explain what the numbers actually mean.

You'll ideally bring:

- Experience in pricing analysis, revenue management or yield management, ideally within equipment hire, rental, airlines, hotels, car rental or another capacity-constrained industry.

- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Mathematics, Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience.

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with Tableau and/or Power BI.

- Robust experience manipulating and transforming large datasets and developing pricing models.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to turn insights into practical commercial recommendations.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
