Manning Base Hospital is seeking a Registered Midwife to join its 8-bed Maternity Ward on a contract basis, starting 14 September 2026. This is a 24/7 coverage role offering $45.00 to $60.00 per hour, and it's an excellent prospect to deliver quality maternity care in a regional healthcare setting. You'll need your own transport to site, and the hospital can arrange local motel accommodation during your contract period.

Preferred Requirements

- Current registration as a Registered Midwife with the relevant regulatory body
- Demonstrated experience in maternity care, including antenatal,



intrapartum, and postnatal support
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a 24/7 environment
- Valid driver's licence and reliable access to your own vehicle
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts across the full week

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent qualification recognised by the relevant regulatory authority
- Current CPR and emergency response certification
- Experience in regional or remote healthcare settings is advantageous
