Position Summary

The Research Officer supports Clinical Artificial Intelligence (AI) research projects within the Centre for Big Data Research in Health, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to advance the use of AI in healthcare. The role provides technical and research support across project design and delivery, with a focus on digital health, electronic medical record (EMR) data, predictive modelling, data analysis, research ethics and data governance.

Working closely with senior researchers, NSW Local Health Districts, eHealth NSW and other research partners, the Research Officer will support data management and analysis, research governance and ethics processes, preparation of publications and reports, stakeholder engagement, and the coordination of project activities and milestones. The position reports to the Professor of Clinical AI and has no direct reports.

Some key skills required:

- A university degree in public health, medicine, nursing, digital health, biostatistics or related discipline, or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through a combination of education, training or experience.
- Experience supporting health, clinical or digital health research projects, including research ethics and governance processes.
- Experience working with clinical or electronic medical record data/or health datasets would be highly desirable.
- Experience with data management,



quantitative analysis and research project coordination would be desirable.
- Knowledge of research protocols, experimental design and planning as involved in developing research projects and reporting against milestones.
- Experience working with a range of computer systems and applications, including data analysis.
