Glen Innes District Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department on a contract basis, starting 14 September 2026. This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic triage and in-charge capacity, supported by onsite medical officer coverage and MyED (My Emergency Doctor) support. The role offers a competitive hourly rate of AUD$45.00 to AUD$60.00, depending on experience and qualifications.

- Lead triage operations and in-charge responsibilities in a busy emergency department
- AUD$45.00 to AUD$60.00 per hour, contract position with flexible engagement
- Work alongside experienced medical teams with integrated telehealth support through MyED

Preferred Requirements

- Demonstrated triage experience and proven ability to work in an in-charge capacity




- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to prioritise effectively in a quick-paced environment
- Excellent communication and team leadership capabilities
- Familiarity with emergency department workflows and patient flow management

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification with current AHPRA registration
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification or willingness to obtain it
- Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated experience in emergency nursing
