Rockhampton Hospital is seeking a Registered Midwife (Grade 5) to join its maternity team on a five-week contract from 27 October to 29 November 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a busy maternity service in regional Queensland, offering competitive remuneration of AUD57.62 to AUD73.04 per hour. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality care across the full spectrum of maternity services, from antenatal through to postnatal support and birth suite management.

Preferred Requirements





- Current registration as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA
- Demonstrated experience in maternity care, including antenatal and postnatal assessment
- Proven competence in birth suite management and labour support
- Current Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation certification or willingness to obtain it
- Solid communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent qualification recognised by AHPRA
- Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (ANRP) certification
- Additional qualifications or experience in high-risk maternity care or lactation support
