Job Description:

The Company

Our client is an NFP organisation within the community health space. They are seeking an experienced Community Engagement Officer to assist with outbound community outreach, building awareness of services across local community groups and networks. This is a temporary role with an immediate start, until July 2027!

The Role

You will be responsible for:

- Reaching out to local community groups to introduce the organisation and its services
- Making outbound calls to build awareness and spark interest in the community
- Engaging with people from diverse cultural and social backgrounds
- Liaising with libraries, schools, and community organisations to share information
- Encouraging networks to pass information on to unpaid carers and relevant groups
- Attending community expos and events to promote services and build new connections
- Creating initial interest and enquiries rather than formal presentations or sales
- Communicating confidently and compassionately with a wide range of people, including those with disabilities or medical conditions
- Completing general administrative tasks to support the wider team
- Updating and maintaining the database with accurate information

Your Profile

You will have:

- Minimum 2 years' experience in outbound calling, customer engagement, or community outreach
- Confidence speaking with a wide range of people both over the phone and in person
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills
- Experience working within a Not-for-Profit organisation (highly regarded)
- Background or exposure to social work, education,



community services, or community development (desirable)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience using CRM systems such as HubSpot (desirable)
- The ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
- A flexible and adaptable approach to changing needs and environments
- Confidence working both independently and as part of a team
