Senior Lawyer: Workers Compensation (In-house)

- You will join a close-knit team where lawyers are trusted to manage matters autonomously while having access to senior support when required.

About the role:

- Manage a portfolio of plaintiff workers compensation matters with a particular focus on industrial deafness and workplace hearing loss claims from initial instructions through to resolution.
- Providing strategic and practical advice to clients throughout the claims process.
- Drafting legal correspondence, submissions and other documentation.
- Managing negotiations, disputes and settlement discussions.
- Liaising with insurers, employers, medical professionals and other relevant stakeholders.




- Appearing at conferences, conciliations and other proceedings where required.
- Managing your matters with a high degree of autonomy while working collaboratively with the broader legal and operational teams.

The ideal candidate:

- Approximately 5+ years' PQE in workers compensation or plaintiff personal injury.
- Strong preference for lawyers with plaintiff workers compensation experience.
- Strong matter management and client-facing skills.
- Confidence managing files with a high degree of autonomy.
- Excellent written communication, negotiation and advocacy skills.
- A practical and empathetic approach to working with injured workers.
- An interest in moving into a specialist in-house legal setting.
