Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Full Time Pathology Administrative Officer to join our Pathology team.
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our six main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.
About the Role:
This role is responsible for responsible for supporting Pathology Department operations team with a range of different administrative tasks.
About you:
- Experience in data entry and electronic document control in Pathology.
- Current knowledge and skill in relevant computer programs including Word, Excel, Outlook and web-based packages.
- High level organisational skills.
- Demonstrated high level communication skills and commitment to consumer and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Demonstrated initiative and self-direction.
- A flexible and adaptive approach to work prioritization.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to develop and maintain efficient office work processes, including the management of all electronic and paper-based records.
- Ability to learn relevant computer systems used to manage business processes.
- Ability to confidently and professionally liaise with staff at all levels.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience in administrative roles in Pathology.
- Experience with Laboratory Information Systems E.g. Ultra.
- The ability to communicate effectively and convey information to variety of audience, in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and use initiative to make decisions, as well as work as part of a team.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced workplace.
- A high degree of motivation, dedication and time management skills.
