Tamworth Base Hospital & Health Service is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Medical Ward on a contract basis, starting 21 September 2026. This is a 24/7 rotating roster position offering AUD45.00 to AUD60.00 per hour. The role provides an opportunity to deliver care across a busy 56-bed General/Medical Ward within a comprehensive regional health facility, supported by on-site shared nursing accommodation including kitchen, bathroom, laundry, and study facilities.

- 24/7 rotating roster on a busy 56-bed Medical Ward with diverse patient presentations
- AUD45.00 to AUD60.00 per hour, with on-site shared nursing accommodation provided
- Work within a well-resourced regional facility offering access to ICU, HDU, and specialist departments

Preferred Requirements





- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia
- Demonstrated experience in acute medical nursing or general ward settings
- Ability to work effectively within a rotating 24/7 roster, including nights and weekends
- Robust clinical assessment and communication skills in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to relocate to Tamworth and reside in shared on-site accommodation

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification recognised by AHPRA
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Post-graduate qualification or experience in medical nursing or acute care
