Troocoo Healthcare is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to provide clinical and operational leadership at Boulia, QLD for a short-term contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced nursing leader who is confident working in a rural and remote healthcare environment and can step into a leadership role with minimal notice.

- Contract: 7 September 2026 - 22 September 2026
- Employment: Temporary contract
- Start Date: 7 September 2026
- End Date: 22 September 2026

About the Role As Director of Nursing, you will provide strong clinical leadership and oversight across the service, supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care while providing guidance and support to the nursing team.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working autonomously, managing competing priorities and contributing to the overall clinical governance and operational requirements of a rural primary health service.

About You We are looking for a senior nursing professional with:

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Previous experience in a Director of Nursing, Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse Manager or senior nursing leadership role
- Strong clinical leadership and decision-making skills
- Experience working in a rural, remote or regional healthcare setting
- Sound understanding of clinical governance, policies and procedures




- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and confidently manage a rural service
- Availability for the full contract period - 7 September to 22 September 2026
