Queanbeyan Hospital & Community Health Service is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department on a four-week contract from 31 August to 30 September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a energetic acute care setting, delivering high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse community. The role offers a competitive hourly rate of AUD$45.00 to AUD$60.00, depending on experience and qualifications.

- Four-week contract in a busy Emergency Department with exposure to acute and high-acuity presentations
- AUD$45.00 to AUD$60.00 per hour, with penalty rates and superannuation
- Work alongside an experienced ED team in a supportive clinical environment

Preferred Requirements

- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification




- Demonstrated competence in emergency triage assessment
- Proficiency in peripheral cannulation techniques
- Recent emergency department experience or strong foundational ED knowledge
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, with current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Post-graduate qualification or certification in Emergency Nursing
- Additional emergency care certifications (such as TNCC or PALS) are advantageous
