Are you an experienced Traffic Control professional ready to step off the tools and make a lasting impact on the industry?

Civil Train is seeking a Trainer & Assessor specialising in Traffic Control and Civil Construction to join our high-performing team in Brisbane. This is your chance to shape the next generation of civil construction workers while working with Queensland’s peak industry body.

In this role, you’ll be delivering critical safety and entry-level training including Traffic Control (Stop/Slow & TMI) and pre-employment programs, helping people take their first steps into industry and supporting workforce capability across Queensland.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Deliver and assess Traffic Control training (Stop/Slow & Traffic Management Implementation)

- Facilitate entry-level civil construction programs (e.g. Certificate II in Resources & Infrastructure Work Preparation)

- Create engaging, practical learning environments that reflect real industry conditions

- Support participants from diverse backgrounds to build skills, confidence, and job readiness

- Maintain compliance with RTO standards and regulatory requirements

- Contribute to continuous improvement of training delivery and programs

- Delivery is primarily Brisbane based, with occasional regional travel as required.

What You Bring

- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40122)





- Traffic Control competencies:

- Stop/Slow (Traffic Controller)

- Traffic Management Implementation (TMI)

- Strong industry experience in civil construction and/or traffic management

- Current Driver’s Licence

- Blue Card (or ability to obtain)
