Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:
Support the Pacific Finance team by preparing accurate financial reports, maintaining forecasting inputs, completing system submissions and providing analysis to support commercial decision-making. The role works closely with the Senior Commercial Finance Analyst and business stakeholders to ensure reporting accuracy, timely PBCS submissions and effective financial support across sales, margin, MWB and expense management activities.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain monthly sales, margin, MWB and T&E; forecast templates, ensuring data is accurate, complete and aligned with agreed business assumptions.
- Complete timely and accurate PBCS submissions for sales, margin, MWB, AOP and forecast updates, following review and approval by the Senior Commercial Finance Analyst or Senior Finance Manager.
- Support the wholesale, eCommerce and NZ distributor SOP process by consolidating forecast inputs, preparing supporting analysis and updating relevant reporting files.
- Assist with monthly MWB and T&E; reporting,
including variance analysis, data validation and follow-up with budget owners where required.
- Maintain and update GL codes in the iProcurement process, ensuring coding accuracy and supporting correct cost allocation in line with finance requirements.
- Assist with quarterly customer rebate, sales commission and sales program reporting, ensuring calculations are accurate and properly supported.
- Perform data reconciliations, investigate variances and escalate issues in a timely manner to support reporting accuracy and process discipline.
- Provide ad hoc analytical and administrative support to the Finance team as required.
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline, or working towards completion.
- Relevant internship, graduate or junior finance experience is preferred.
- Good financial analysis capability with attention to detail and a strong focus on data accuracy.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including the ability to work with large datasets, formulas and reporting templates.
- Ability to follow structured processes, meet deadlines and complete system submissions accurately.
- Robust communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with Finance and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Willingness to learn commercial finance processes, forecasting systems and management reporting requirements.
- Experience with Excel-based reporting and financial systems is highly regarded.
- Experience with Business Objects, Oracle Financials, PBCS or Domo is advantageous but not essential.
